Grafitti goes mainstream
Urban
art and graffiti has become a credible contemporary medium in recent
years, and in celebration of this Selfridges are hosting the largest
gathering of this type of art from around the world in their seriously
cool Ultralounge on the Lower Ground Floor of their store on Oxford
Street, London.
The exhibition will run until 1st June, with all works to be auctioned off by Dreweatts in The Village Underground, in Shoreditch on the 17th June. The real stars of the show are Banksy - who is showing some rare works, including ‘Portrait of an Artist’ one of his early prints from 1999, estimated to reach £150,000 - £200,000 at auction - and Nick Walker whose ‘Mood Board’ is set to reach up to £60,000 in the sale. Other artists exhibiting in the show include Mau Mau, Mudwig and Dicy. Dita Von bling
This week London's Victoria & Albert Museum is abuzz with the opening of the new William and Judith Bollinger Jewellery Gallery, displaying 3500 jewels from the V&A’s impressive jewellery collection.

We love Dita Von Teese’s typically flamboyant Demi Pareo brooch and earrings set, £995, from the V&A shop.
